Prof. Dr. Uda Bin Hashim received BSc Hons. degree in Physical and Applied Physics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in 1987. In research product exposition, Prof. Dr. Uda Hashim has won more than 125
awards locally and internationally with eight most prestigious awards namely MTE 2016 The Best Award, MTE 2015 The Very Best Award, MTE 2015 Croatia Inova Special Award, SIIF Korea 2014 Grand Prize Award, BioInnovation of The Year Award 2014 at BioMalaysia 2014, Best Jury Award at GENEVA 40 th International Exhibition of Invention 2012, Platinum Award at British Invention Show BIS2010 and Genius Award from Hungary in 2007. He already submitted 13 patents filing for his research finding which four of them are already granted. One of his research output which is Mask Aligner is already commercialized and licensed to ICEZ Sdn Bhd. Another two of his research products namely Smart Food Poisoning Detector and HPV Nanolab-on-chip are now under negotiation with interested partners for commercialization. His research finding prove of concept on blood glucose measurement using salivary received attention from several private medical labs and companies.
